Buffy the Vampire Slayer: What's My Line, Part I

Spike has a plan to recharge Drusilla's batteries, and Phase One of said plan involves getting Buffy out of the action, by way of supernatural hitmen the Order of Taraka.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Halloween

Halloween, the one day every year when vampires and demons kick back in their La-Z-Boys and catch up on the movies in their Netflix queue.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Reptile Boy

In this episode, Buffy decides to shirk all of her responsibilities and go to a frat party with Cordelia.  This should end well.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Inca Mummy Girl

Sunnydale High is abuzz with excitement about their new cultural exchange program.  They even go to a museum to check out an exhibit about ancient Incan mummies, which is really where all the problems start, because that's where the mummy sucks the life out a student and escapes.

Mad Men: Far Away Places

Peggy smokes pot and gives some random dude a hand job in a movie theater.  No, seriously.  Also, I was right about Ginsberg being a Holocaust survivor.  So sad times but also hell yeah.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: School Hard

True story.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Some Assembly Required

Buffy finds evidence of the fairly icksome crime of grave robbing in Sunnydale.  That's right: someone's been stealing bits and bobs from dead teenage girls, and there's no possible explanation for this that isn't creepy and horrifying.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: When She Was Bad

In the season 2 premiere of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, we fast forward to the end of summer, which Buffy has spent moping in LA and apparently getting possessed by a slightly bitchier version than herself.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Prophecy Girl

OMG is the Master finally rising?!  Seriously, he's ridiculous, but I love him.  "My time is come.  Glory, glory!"

Game of Thrones: What Is Dead May Never Die

Watching these men fight over the crown is like watching a bunch of fat kids trying to get at the candy knocked out of a pinata.  Interested?  Then get ready for Game of Thrones!

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Out of Mind, Out of Sight

This week at Sunnydale High, there's an angry little Casper-type person reaping havoc.  Ordinarily I would say it's a ghost, but since Buffy loves to go with the heavy metaphors, it's obviously a girl who felt so ignored at school that she literally turned invisible.

Mad Men: Signal 30

Pete regresses to the Season 1 version of Pete, Trudy outmaneuvers Don, and Lane challenges Pete to a gentlemen's fight.  Interested?  You better be!  Because this is Mad Men: Signal 30.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Nightmares

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: The Puppet Show

After a few too many snarky comments, Principal Snyder decides that Buffy, Willow, and Xander should be in the school talent show.  Honestly this episode sort of writes itself.

The Nostalgia Experiment: Reviewing the 90s

I'm a child of the 90s.  We had some pretty awesome entertainment growing up.  I hear everyone (read: people on youtube and reddit) talking about it, how today's kids have been screwed out of a satisfactory childhood because Disney and Nickelodeon have dropped the ball.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Angel

Finally we learn a little bit more about the mysterious Angel.  Which brings me to an important point: Angel.

*sigh*
Who among us did not have a crush on David Boreanaz in the late 1990s?  Hell, I was 10 and I thought he was dreamy.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: The Pack

Oh boy.  This episode is going to be about bullies.  Maybe I had a more than usually idyllic childhood, but I feel like these bully characters are cartoonish in the extreme.  They're pretty much what would happen if Johnny and the rest of the gang from the Cobra Kai Dojo got possessed by evil hyenas.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Never Kill a Boy On the First Date

Xander, please don't speak anymore ever.

Game of Thrones: The Night Lands

Seriously, why are there so many kings all of a sudden?  Mark my words, this will only end in tears.

Mad Men: Mystery Date

What an odd, surreal episode.  It's really interesting, because although it's sort of slow-paced and lackadaisical in its approach, there's actually a lot that happens here.  Where to start?

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: The Harvest

On to the second episode of Buffy, where we find out if Buffy actually ends up dying.  Are you as on edge as I am?

Game of Thrones: The North Remembers

So over the past couple days, I marathoned the hell out of Game of Thrones, desperately trying to catch up in time for the premiere.  Mission accomplished.

So here's my review of the long-awaited Season 2 premiere of Game of Thrones!

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Welcome to the Hellmouth

Welcome to the very first episode of the very first season of the television series that put Joss Whedon on the map!  I've chosen Buffy the Vampire Slayer to kick off my TV show bonanza because this was probably the first "grown-up" (I use that term loosely) shows that I watched when I was a kid, and it's been one of my favorites ever since.  It's been off the air for too long, and I'm overdue for a marathon.  Enjoy!

Mad Men: Tea Leaves

Don and Harry chill out at a Stones concert, Betty starts to get complacent and fat, and Peggy needs to find a token Jew for the office.  Interested?  You better be!

Mad Men: A Little Kiss

After an unfairly long hiatus, Mad Men is finally back on our TVs.  Now I can sleep at night again.  Has absence made the heart grow fonder, or have I been set up for the letdown of all letdowns after a year and a half of waiting?

Introducing The Electronic Fireplace

I've been getting back into watching TV a bit more than I have in a while, so I thought it would be fun to create a television counterpart to my lovely 1000 Movie Journey.  This is a place for me to post my reviews of shows, past and current, that I'm interested in.  Right now I'm working on a Buffy the Vampire Slayer marathon, but I'm also going to be doing current shows as they air.

As things sit now, I'm looking at definitely doing Mad Men and Game of Thrones.  Oh, and Doctor Who, when that comes back on.  I'm a big fan, so I'll definitely be reviewing those.  I'm open to adding more to my schedule, if there's anything you think I should be watching.  I always love discovering new shows, so please drop me a line if you have any suggestions.

I think that's all, so come back on Sunday for my inaugural reviews!
